It is All-Star Race weekend for the NASCAR Cup Series at North Wilkesboro. A few teams have brought out their best paint schemes for the occasion. There are a few new sponsors and schemes for fans to enjoy under the lights at the historic Wilkesboro track.
Last year the racing was lackluster, but the look and vibe of the entire weekend was awesome. That old track was brought back from the dead. Kyle Larson stunk up the weekend, winning both the Truck Series race and the All-Star Race.
However, it was fun. It was a celebration of the sport’s past and present. This year, with multiple tire compounds to use, NASCAR is hoping to put on a show and unlock the mystery of their short track woes.
Another great Busch Light scheme from Trackhouse Racing. Is it pretty? No. Is it memorable and fun to look at? Absolutely.
It looks like the Busch Light Guy dressed Chastain’s car for this weekend. This team needs a good performance to gain confidence in an otherwise lackluster season. 8/10.
Beer wars! At least for the All-Star Race this season. Austin Cindric is back with Keystone Light on the No. 2 car. It’s been a rare but consistent paint scheme for Cindric in recent years.
I’m torn on the banners. I get what they are trying to do with Memorial Day and July 4th no all that far away – give off an American flag aesthetic. I do like it, though. 8/10.
Blue and yellow Wrangler car? Oh yeah, you bet. Ryan Blaney doesn’t have a Dale Earnhardt throwback going on, but it’s sort of like one?
The hood of this car is what is the best part. That big “Wrangler” across the hood is going to look awesome under the lights at North Wilkesboro.
Now, I don’t know if Justin Haley will make the main event, but he has a great looking car. The yellow matches those gold rims that Rick Ware Racing has been rocking this season.
Haley earned the first top-10 on a non-superspeedway track EVER for RWR last week. If he can’t get the fan vote, maybe he can race his way into the big race. 8.5/10.
This is a very fun paint scheme. Alltroo, founded by former NFL tight end Kyle Rudolph is sponsoring Wallace for the All-Star Race.
Wallace will have to earn his way into the main event or get the fan vote. He was unable to pick up a win last season. However, he was P2 at this race a year ago. 9/10.
Michael McDowell is going to rep the White Sox for the Chicago Street Race. First, he’s rocking one of their minor league teams for the All-Star Race.
This Charlotte Knights scheme is a lot of fun. I wish more minor league teams would sponsor cars, their logos are almost always the best. 8/10.
These Dollar Tree cars have no business being this nice. I have loved these Legacy Motor Club schemes this season and this one is no different.
There is just something about a green paint scheme. John Hunter Nemechek has had flashes this season but needs more success on track. 8.5/10.
After seeing the black and yellow Gainbridge schemes all season, I really like this alternate version with NASCAR jumping onboard too.
Carson Hocevar might just win the fan vote and get to the All-Star Race. But if he doesn’t, he will have a nice-looking car for the open. 8/10.
